Republican Scientific and Practical Center for Mental Health of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan (National Mental Health Center)
The Center was founded in 1896 and has a 120-year history.
The Center is the parent organization of the mental health service, which carries out strategic, coordination, organizational and methodological work at the national level and provides specialized medical care at the national level.
Mission of the Center: Strengthening the mental health of the citizens of Kazakhstan by developing and implementing innovative technologies based on the principles of evidence-based medicine.

The leading scientific center in the field of mental health in the Central Asian region with exemplary infrastructure and integration of scientific, clinical and educational practices.
The Center renders medical and social assistance to persons suffering from mental and behavioral disorders, including due to the use of psychoactive substances admitted to the clinic through referral by regional psychiatric and narcological organizations. Hospitalization of patients is carried out through the hospitalization portal.
The Center (Almaty) has a hospital for 200 beds with the Department of Psychotherapy, Psychosomatic Department, Department of Suicidology and Addictive Conditions, Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Women's and Men's Departments of Endogenous and Exogenous Disorders. There are clinical and biochemical laboratory, information monitoring and analytical center, offices of psychological, electrophysiological and radiographic research, physiotherapy department, and pharmacy.
In Pavlodar branch of the Center there are 3 departments: narcological department of medical correction, narcological department of psychotherapy and rehabilitation, and narcological department of social rehabilitation.
The Center is the clinical base of 3 medical universities and a republican medical college.
